WASHINGTON — Ben’s Chili Bowl on U Street reopened its original location after 9 months of renovations on Friday. A celebration was held outside the restaurant that featured musical guests, celebrities, and, of course, half-smokes.

“We love that they kept the pictures. Not only of the stars but also of Ben and Virginia Ali,” said Brenda Willoughby, a Ben’s Chili Bowl patron.
