FORT WASHINGTON, Md. — One person has died and another is injured after a crash on Indian Head Highway in Fort Washington. Prince George’s County Police say a vehicle crashed around 10:10 p.m. Wednesday by Palmer Road.

The male driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger was extracted from the car and transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Northbound lanes of Indian Head Highway were closed overnight for investigation. All lanes reopened by 5 a.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
