A rematch against Terence Crawford does not appear to be the priority for Canelo Alvarez.
Alvarez, who has not fought since losing to Crawford in September, has agreed to fight Christian Mbilli, according to Mike Coppinger of Ring Magazine. Mbilli’s WBC super middleweight title would be on the line.

Alvarez is eyeing Sept. 12 for his return to the ring, according to Boxing News 24/7, citing Alvarez’s trainer, Eddy Reynoso, as its source.
Boxing News 24/7 also reported the fight is not finalized. But Coppinger of The Ring reported it’s a “done deal.”
