WASHINGTON — A 5-year-old boy was among three people shot Tuesday evening. Police say he was playing in the courtyard of an apartment complex near the intersection of N and 5th streets in Northwest around 7 p.m.
A bullet hole remained visible in a car parked near the courtyard where the shooting happened the following evening, in what neighbors described as a chaotic and frightening scene.
