WASHINGTON — A fire involving a Metro bus inside the 9th Street Tunnel caused significant damage and forced temporary lane closures as crews worked to make repairs on Friday.
“There was a large segment where all of the lights were damaged for about 150 feet around where the fire occurred, crews are currently putting conduit in so we can get the lighting restored,” said DC Department of Transportation (DDOT) Director Sharon Kershbaum.
