WASHINGTON — Thick Black smoke billowed into the skies from the 9th Street tunnel, Northwest on Thursday evening. One person described it as the “Fumata Nera.”
Officials with DC Fire and EMS received calls at 6:35 p.m. for reports of a Metro bus on fire. No customers were on board at the time of the fire, and the bus driver was not injured.
