Visitors to DC can now literally step into Black history through augmented reality at more than 30 sites across the city.
WASHINGTON — On every April 16, D.C. celebrates Emancipation Day, when President Abraham Lincoln freed thousands of enslaved people in D.C. This year, one group is making sure visitors remember the history through a brand new augmented reality museum.
51 Steps to Freedom officially launched the app experience Thursday as part of the countdown to America’s 250th birthday, calling it the largest outdoor museum in the world.
