Candidate for Montgomery County Council At-Large campaign sign vandalized

Lelia True says her campaign sign was vandalized over Memorial Day Weekend.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Lelia True, candidate for Montgomery County Council At-Large, was notified that one of her campaign signs was vandalized.

True’s campaign says the sign that was vandalized sits at 12830 New Hampshire Ave in Silver Spring. The picture provided to WUSA9 shows a separate piece of wood placed over the original sign, rather than paint applied directly to it. The red “MP 28” is spray-painted on that board, which is mounted in front of the “TRUE” portion of the sign.
