WASHINGTON — Mayor Muriel Bowser unveiled a proposed $21 billion budget for the District, on Friday. In it, she outlined spending priorities while acknowledging difficult cuts needed to close a $1.1 billion gap.
Bowser said the plan prioritizes “public education, public safety, preserving core services and protecting, preserving health care for D.C. residents, and, finally, growing our economy.”
