The former coach of golf champion Aaron Rai has recalled the moment he spotted a “special talent” as the star was growing up.
As one of the world’s biggest golfing tournaments The Masters starts, Wolverhampton-born Rai has topped the leader board of the Par 3 Contest – the traditional fun curtain-raiser to the competition.

Golf pro Darren Prosser taught Rai from the age of seven at 3 Hammers course in Wolverhampton, and has maintained a friendship with him.
“He was a special talent, he’s got great hand-eye coordination and he had a great family and a good team around him,” he told BBC
