The zones go into effect each night this weekend from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
WASHINGTON — Five youth curfew zones are now in effect across the District through Easter weekend, as city leaders remain divided over whether to extend the policy long-term.
The curfew zones will be enforced nightly through Sunday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Under the policy, anyone 17 and under is prohibited from gathering in groups of nine or more within designated areas.
Those areas include Navy Yard, Chinatown, the Waterfront, U Street, and Banneker.
