Nearly 200 students suspended after ICE walkout at Woodbridge High School

The suspensions are not for what they were protesting, but instead because the students left school grounds.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Students at three schools in Prince William County walked out in protest of ICE last Friday, but 191 of them at one of those schools were suspended. That’s because students left school grounds, according to Woodbridge High School principal Heather Abney.

“While walkouts are a form of expression, students did not remain on school grounds and instead left campus, walking along Old Bridge Road,” Abney wrote in a letter to families.
