WASHINGTON — Nine people were displaced overnight after a fire in a Northeast D.C. apartment building.
According to D.C. Fire, the blaze started just before 1:30 a.m. in one apartment at 1400 Florida Avenue NE, which the department says is a residence for older adults. Crews were able to contain it to that unit on the seventh floor of the 10-story building.
