WASHINGTON — Two firefighters sent out Mayday distress calls on two separate occasions while battling a house fire in DC early Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to the 3400 block of 24th Street, Southeast, on Saturday just before 1 a.m. When crews arrived, they found the house engulfed in flames. The people living in the home were able to escape.
