Firefighters rescue cat from rowhouse blaze in DC

Crews are still working to determine the cause of the fire.

WASHINGTON — DC firefighters rescued a cat from a rowhome fire in Northwest on Tuesday morning. 

Crews were called to the 5400 block of Kansas Avenue for a report of a fire around 3:45 a.m. Arriving firefighters found flames coming from the first and second floors of a two-story middle row home. Flames were also visible from the rear porch of the home, firefighters said.
