Maryland’s only House Republican predicts Wes Moore’s redistricting push will fail

“To draw a partisan, gerrymandered map is probably unconstitutional,” Harris told WUSA9. “And if we have to, we’ll test it in court.”

WASHINGTON — As a Gov. Wes Moore-supported bill continued to move through the Maryland State House on Friday, the state’s only Republican in the U.S. Congress said he’s ready to make a legal challenge if the redistricting proposal moves forward. 

“This is not the right thing to do, this is not the right time to do it,” Rep. Andy Harris told WUSA9.
