Greenbelt Police are searching for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a teen at Breezewood Ct. & Cherrywood Terr. on Sunday.
WASHINGTON — The Greenbelt Police Department is searching for the person who fatally shot a teen on Sunday afternoon.
Officers were called for reports of gunshots at 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Breezewood Ct. & Cherrywood Terr. When they arrived, officers located a teen with gunshot wounds.
The teen was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the victim hasn’t been released at this time.
A preliminary investigation revealed a Silver Infinity sped past, firing rounds at a group, hitting the teen. The car has not been located, and police do not have any suspects in custody at this time.
The car had dark tints and no front license plate.
