Officials have extended online voting for the Braddock District post until 7 p.m. Sunday.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — Voting in a special Democratic “Firehouse Primary” to replace Congressman James Walkinshaw in his district supervisor post has been extended.
Online voting for the Braddock District post will extend through 7 p.m. Sunday evening.
Fairfax County Democratic Committee officials say online voting will end at 7 p.m. sharp. If your ballot is still open when voting ends, you will be unable to vote.
Officials say only people who registered in-person on Saturday but did not cast their online ballot or did not receive one will be able to vote during the extended period.
The FCDC office will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. to assist people.
The only people who are eligible for FCDC assistance are those who did not receive an online ballot, were unable to cast their ballot online or were unable to receive a phone number verification code to cast their online ballot.
Anyone with questions about the extended voting period should call (703) 573-6811.
