The owners say the festival is about more than autumnal activities.
FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. — Fall is here! There are plenty of ways to celebrate the season across the D.C. region. One popular option is the Fall Festival at Summers Farm. It’s underway now in Middletown, Maryland.
Now in its 28th year, the Fall Festival includes plenty of fun for the whole family. Whether your picking your own pumpkin in the pumpkin patch, exploring the corn maze, or visiting the animals in the barn, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
But the festival is about more than autumnal activities. Owner Teresa Summer says it’s also about education.
“Our goal is connect people to agriculture. We want to combine fun with learning,” Summers said. “We want people to come out to the farm, learn what we have here and make memories and have fun together.”
The Fall Festival runs through Oct. 31. Tickets are strongly encouraged to be purchased online to guarantee admission to the event. Prices range from $10.50 to $17.50. The farm is closed on Tuesdays. For more information about pricing, click here.
In total, the farm offers more than 45 activities to get you in the mood for fall.
